I can't blog

I am absolutely a technologically impaired blogger. I doubt that this message will go through either. Is it just me? I can't get anything out there. Supposedly my password expired, and so, once renewed, it still ain't happening. I've read alot of stuff, seen some cool pictures, etc. So, hello to all, and if anyone is interested in seeing Tina Turner on 12/4 at Nassau Coliseum, let me know. Love to all. Theresa

You just did!
Just kick the damn machine once in a while, will ya. Works for me.
Tina Turner, hu? And I bet she still can turn a few male heads.
Would love to go (without Peggy), but around that time of year we have even more going on than usual, so I'm afraid I'll have to pass.
Pity.
Come on Theresa! You can post, yes you can!

jlHi there, and thanks to Gianni, Steve and Dawn for your responses! Yes, I did blog! Oh, this is exciting!
Dawn, I've seen prices on Tina ranging from $58 and upwards to $1,000 (and even more than that!, but they are for Private Parties, I believe) She will be at Nassau Coliseum on 12/3 & 4 as well as at The Garden during that week. I will get some more specific prices, I would just love to see her before she (she'll be 69 on Nov. 29) or I or we croak. Should be great!

Sounds like our barbershoppers had an awesome time. Beautiful photos. Nice to see you all in your glory.

Through the inspiration of some of our Island Hills ladies, I attended a barbershop show on Saturday, (all by my lonsesome). It was called "Sentimental Journey" and was put on by a group of males here in the Poconos. Honestly, it was just "OK" The men were up there in age and sounded a little weak, BUT, a traveling guest quartet named "Wheelhouse" performed and absolutely blew me away.

Steve, the first song they did was the one I used to call "Scotch and Soda" but I'm thinking now it may be "I Feel High" not sure, but these guys so aced it, and it took me down memory lane with Steve playing that in our home back in his college days. Even when I was ten, I liked songs with alcohol in them! Anyway, I liked them enough to pick up their CD after the show. They more than made my night. What chords they were singing...I got chills! Wasn't your typical 3rds, I guess that what barbershop's all about. I could appreciate it when my Mom sang it, but even more now. We could NEVER (and my sister Jackie reminded me of this the other nite) appreciate Mom trying to take her annual stab at operating a sewing machine in an attempt to sew her own "Competition Gowns" for Sweet Ads. I never heard "Oh, blame it!" (?) before or "That %$#@ bobbin!", so many times (do you remember Mom's frustrated sewing days, Steve?" OK folks, time to get the youngin' at the bus stop!
